OBJECT DETECTION AND DISTANCE MEASUREMENT FOR AUTONOMOUS
FARM VEHICLES

This was my senior design project. We were working with a company called SmartAg who is building autonomous farming vehicles, including combines and tractors. I cannot say too much about the project, but our goal was to find objects in the front of us and measure distances for them. For the object detection, we used machine learning and object detection. We used stereo cameras for the distance measurement. There are 6 team members in our group. Two of them are from software engineering, three of them are from computer engineering, and I am the one who from Electrical engineering. I am glad that I have such great teammates because we help each other to reach the goals.
